On December 30th, as I sat watching my father, Pastor William P Means preach his final sermon at his Retirement Service I remembered one of my favorite quotes. Henry Adams once said, ” A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” Being a pastor, is one of the most important teaching ministries there will ever be and the influence that Pastor Means made in his 43 years of ministry was very evident during his celebration of retirement service. Countless testimonies, letters, and videos from many of his past congregations, collegues and friends were given and shared as we honored a him that day. Pastor Means finished his ministry by completing eighteen and a half years at Lancaster First Church of God. They are retiring in Anderson, Indiana and wanted all their Ohio friends to know that their door is always open! They look forward to this new part of their journey. Thank you for all the love, support and good times that were shared through Ohio ministries.
