Pastor Jonathan Grubbs, Eaton Church of God, lead the team pictured below, during the week of March 3, 2018 to TX to work on the Hallettsville Campground Dormitory. Most of the work was ceilings and electrical work damage by the water from the hurricane. The team was made up of people from the Eaton congregation, along with one worker from Lima, Gardendale.
A big thank you to the wonderful servants.
A state known for unpredictable weather, Ohio’s natural disasters call for unique and instantaneous responses.
Who We Are
Ohio Ministries Disaster Relief (OMDR) brings spiritual and emotional assistance while providing physical help during the recovery from a natural disaster. Equipped with an emergency response supply trailer and some disaster response funds, OMDR volunteers travel to the disaster site, assist in repairing the damage, and help get families back in their homes following a natural disaster.
Volunteer. Donate. Pray.
During a time when families and communities are experiencing some of the most desperate and hopeless moments of their lives, you can help. We need skill sets ranging from ham radio operators, construction workers, and painters, to large equipment operators and tree trimmers. Our needs depend on the disaster relief needed.
Our on-hand disaster response fund goal of $25,000 helps families in tangible ways. This amount of money will enable us to serve until funds can be received from congregations across Ohio.
$10,000 — A family back into their home
$5,000 — One roof replacement
$1,000 — Emergency enclosure of one house
$500 — Replacement of 2 or 3 windows
$250 — One pre-hung exterior door
$125 — Paint for 2 or 3 rooms
$50 — Emergency tarps
A little goes a long way.
We know the power of prayer. For the volunteers, the families and the communities, your prayers ensure safety and success.
Report a Disaster.
Step 1: Report the need through your local Ohio church.
Step 2: A designated leader of the local church should contact one of the following:
a. Ohio Ministries Office: email@example.com or (740) 747-2916
b. Ohio Ministries Disaster Relief Team:
Upon receiving a request, we send a team of at least two to assess the damage and determine if our services are able to help. The assessors report to the OMDRT, who makes the final decision. Our desire is to respond to the request within a week.
